To provide training to I-Kiribati on Automotive/Mechanical Engineering so that they can compete to get jobs in the related fields both in the local and overseas labour market.

Programs and Courses Brief Description

• Mechanical Trade  Apprenticeship This is a three year course for full time mechanical apprenticeship trade. Two years  at KIT while one year attachment with industries.
• Small Engines Technology I This is the introduction to small engines troubleshooting and repairing.
• Small Engines Technology II The course will focus on deph diagosis and repair of small gasoline engine. Troubleshooting and testing of equipment are also covered.
• Construction of Power Unit This course will cover engine construction and major engine system operation
• Diesel Fuel Injection The course will concentrate of maintenancing and repairing of diesel engines.
