The aim of this advance course is to look at the capabilities of Word to create desktop publications.
Contents: A look at the facilities offered by Microsoft Publisher, and how Word integrates with this package. Use of frames in a document - sizing & positioning. Borders and shading and use of clipart pictures available through Word and through CD-ROM picture libraries. Use of sections - layouts of newsletters, cards, reports and standard word processing, using WordArt to create special effects. Drop capitals at the start of a line, insertion of text into boxes, organisational chart, drawing tools and rotations, grouping drawing objects, watermarks, multi-layer pictures, columns, and page orientation and page numbering a multi-folded document.
Entry Requirements:
A good pass at Word 3.
