Desktop Publishing

To give students the skills required to create business and advertising publications such as booklets, brochures and handbills with the emphasis on design , layout and publication practices.

Contents: A look at the facilities offered by Microsoft Publisher. Use of frames in a document - sizing & positioning. Borders and shading and use of clipart pictures available. Use of sections - layouts of newsletters, cards, flyers and using WordArt to create special effects. Drop capitals at the start of a line, insertion of text into boxes, drawing tools and rotations, watermarks, multi-layer pictures, columns, and page orientation and page numbering a multi-folded document.

Good pass in Introduction to Computing and Word 2
